“As a Eucharistic Minister you are first and foremost a member of the body of Christ, one of the holy people of God. As a Eucharistic Minister, you are called on to serve the body of Christ,

the Church, as it performs its most important work — the Eucharist. Like all ministries, this is a great honor and a great  responsibility. Eucharistic Ministers are called to grow in devotion

to the Mass, to the Church that celebrates it, and to the Lord, through whom, with whom

and in whom it can be done".

— Victoria M. Tufano

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist serve the St. Symphorosa Parish Family by distributing the Holy Eucharist at Weekend, Holiday, and Feast Day Masses.

Typical time commitment for weekend Eucharistic Ministers is twice a month.  Weekday Eucharistic Ministers usually serve once or twice a week.

Training for this ministry is provided through the Vicariate V Ministry Commission.  Commissioning for this ministry is by the pastor.
