“Hospitality at worship is an expression of reverence for the presence of Christ in each member of the assembly.
To ignore those who gather with us to celebrate the liturgy is irreverent; it is to ignore Christ Himself.
Welcoming people and making them feel at home is one way Ministers of Hospitality help build up the Church.
Hospitality is a vital element in creating a sense of community for worship.
A person who feels welcomed and valued is much more likely to enter wholeheartedly into the celebration of the liturgy, giving thanks to God for the love that God pours out on us.
A friendly and welcoming Minister of Hospitality can make that love of God apparent to people
beginning the moment they arrive.”
