Congratulations! We are happy that you have made the decision to marry at St. Symphorosa.
There is education and preparation for receiving all sacraments of faith including the Sacrament of Marriage. The most important aspect of Marriage is the choice made by the bride and groom to make a solemn pledge of faithful love to each other within the context of our Catholic faith. This is a time for both parties to examine not only the depth of their commitment to each other, but also the depth of their commitment to Jesus and His body, the Church. Marriage in church with a religious ceremony presupposes the active faith life of the couple. This includes their registration and participation in a particular parish or faith community. In fact, the general rule of the Archdiocese is that the marriage take place in the geographical parish of the bride and/or groom.
Weddings are usually scheduled at St. Symphorosa Church at the following times:
Saturday: 1:00 pm or 3:00 pm
St. Symphorosa Church will be available for two hours for your wedding liturgy: 30 minutes before your Wedding for set-up and 30 minutes after for photographs
The day and time for your Rehearsal must be scheduled with the parish Wedding Coordinator A rehearsal s imperative to ensure that everyone participating in your Wedding Liturgy understands their role. Rehearsals will not be held on Holidays. All bridal attendants, family members and readers should be present at the rehearsal. Wedding rehearsals are one hour in length; please be on time.
Please contact our wedding coordinator, Maggie Barry, at email@example.com for further information on scheduling and planning your wedding at our parish church.
